Everyone has, at least, that one thing s/he relish being an expert in. For nothing at all, everyone has a goal s/he strives harder to see materialize. With this, we all have in mind certain influential persons we will like to be like sometime in future and that’s expected.

Most often than not, we fail to remember that entangled in those admirable successes of these persons (we hold in high esteem) is the flip-side of constant strive. I am sure you will agree that as a farmer wishes to proudly stand in fields of plenty harvest, it would be equally expected that he restlessly strives in planting as well as to patiently nurture those plants.
Now, let me ask. Are you ready to “suffer” as your “ideal” person/idol did? Are you ready to sacrifice so much as your ideal person/ idol did? Are you ready to endure so much pain as your ideal person/idol did? Are you even ready to stay disciplined as your ideal person/idol did? Are you ready to be as patient as your ideal person/idol did?

In this light, as we crave to chalk similar or even better successes reached by people we look up to, so should we be prepared to pass through the mill as they did. History has presented to us so many grueling yet inspiring stories which, I think, affirms the cliché of “No success story comes without a stint of discipline, sacrifice, patience, struggle, recurrent failure and hardwork”.
In our quests to be better persons and to serve humanity better, we mustn’t stop learning. Identify your strengths and keep practicing. Practice! Practice! Practice! Mastery in a craft isn’t a nine-day wonder. It takes lots and lots of time and of course with lots of constant practice and patience.
Encouraged by the saying, “Practice makes perfect”, accept the challenge of being in pain and struggle as you keep learning and practicing in wait of transmogrifying that into the longing goal at last.

Friend. This is a learning curve. Never give up on your dreams and aspirations. You know not who you are inspiring even with your efforts at this particular moment. Keep striving. Keep learning. Keep practicing. And very much importantly, keep the dream alive.
Peace!
