Human opinions are varied as opposed to programmed systems and technologies. Depending on the variety of factors we individually experience in our surroundings, our psychological makeups and our points of view regarding issues are most likely to differ.

Of course, it is not abnormal in some instances to have a feeling of wish that if everyone else was to be like you, the world would have been an easier place to be. This wish rekindles when people seem to act and/or gather thoughts contrary to yours. But come to think of this, how would our stay on earth be if everyone else was to think and act just like you do? Would the essence of living be fulfilled at all? What then shall we be living for?

Having our diversities in mind, not coming to terms on issues in some instances shall certainly prevail in our life endeavors. Misunderstandings and unrests keep looming because we all have unique thoughts society has couched for us.

Our forefathers were very right when they said,

” The best version of you is you yourself”. So expect not that everyone else thinks or acts as you.”

One trait of ours we need to reconsider in such moments we face contentions in view and opinion-sharing would be the manner in which we react to those. As evidenced by the proverb,

“Don’t raise your voice, improve your argument”,

Making our points well made with glaring evidences in arguements are enough to clearly spell out our stance. It needs no hate whatsoever. Obviously, this undesired behaviour has cast its unpopular shadow even in our political spaces. Instead of dialoguing thoughtfully and criticizing constructively, our political leaders tend to be so much attached to their political divides that opinions from any party, which is contrary to theirs, are believed to have no substance – thereby carlously attacked with hate and resentment.

Similarly, it is also a case that a number of us have fixated our thoughts to accept that anyone who opposes us is not one who cares for us. But how true is that? We only have to keep reminding ourselves that we are all distinctively different and cannot possess same opinions at all times. It is therefore worth making a habit of seeing it as an opportunity to make yourself understood rather than taking it as an offense , when one opposes thoughts or acts you churn out.

Just remember that we all don’t think and analyze things the same way. Little brawls and misunderstandings should not make us enemies. You should be able to stand in disagreement with people without hating them at last. Do you have cherished ones you’ve broken ties with just because they sided not with some engagements or thoughts of yours? If yes, then it’s time to move past those shackles and create new paths. You may be right – you may also be wrong. This other person may be right – s/he may also be wrong.

But our loving and forgiving principles should be constantly illuminated by the saying

” We are all full of weakness and errors. Let’s mutually pardon each other our follies”.

Afterall, “opinions are like noses, everybody has one and nobody’s is perfect”.

Peace!
