People tend to think challenges, difficulties and misery are paths befittingly created for and only toed by the vulnerable, poor or destitute. To rethink along this line, isn’t it a case that challenges befall everyone irrespective of their socio-economic status?

Man scaling over obstacles

Not limited to the poor but also for the rich – however luxurious they may seem to be living, there are peculiar challenges in their lives they long to hurdle over. Even the greatest of achievers; those we subtly see as demi-gods, constantly face problems that require solutions and it’s mundane. You think Michelle Obama, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Opera Winfrey or Aliko Dangote have no challenges to tackle? They cringe and stress same way as we do.  The question, “what differential turns their problems into success?” then begs for an answer.

Problems are really never-ending. We must come to a realization that challenges are a part of our progress and it is that which makes life meaningful.

As said by Mario Andretti,

If you have everything under control, then you aren’t moving fast enough”.

What value  would man have attached to success if failure was not a part of life? What value at all would man have attach attached to wealth if poverty was not a part of life? Your guess is as good as mine.

Let not the fear of failure override the satisfaction you will derive from winning. The prospective joy in overcoming challenges should actually be that which prepares you to tackle them. Do not be overwhelmed by problematic situations as they come. No rush! Don’t be in a haste to give up. Neither should you be so much in a haste to make amends – for more haste results in less speed.

Rather set priorities and tackle the most important challenges with timelines in a piecemeal manner. In simple terms, make rigorous planning a habit. The goal should not be to have all your problems resolved but to keep the most devastating under control. Therein shall there be progress.

Peace!
